New Job!

Well, I was offered a job yesterday and we decided to take it. Yep, after almost 6 whole years at Macey's, I'm moving on (I mean, I didn't go to school so that I could work at a grocery store-no offense to those who that applies to). I am going to work at ARUP laboratories up by University of Utah in the Cellular and Innate department-thanks to those who helped make this happen.

Don't ask me to explain what the department name has to do with my job description. Pretty much, I'll be working in a lab doing tests on people's blood from all across the nation. I'll test for the presence of acetylcholine receptors, test for tuberculosis, and I think I even get to play with DNA (proliferating it and other cool stuff like that).


We're excited and are looking forward to this change. It was voted one of Fortune 100s top companies to work for back in 2003 and from what I've heard about their benefits, I agree. I'll miss the staff at Macey's-my boss's awesome singing and air guitar playing. I'll also miss being able to taste "test" the fruits and vegetables and know what's good and what isn't, but I'm sure I'll have plenty to enjoy about ARUP.
